Gentle & Affordable Tooth Extraction in Vancouver

Enhance Dental Centre offers tooth extractions in Vancouver with expert care, local anesthesia, and sedation options—perfect for emergency pain relief or scheduled wisdom tooth removal.

Signs You Might Need a Tooth Extraction

Persistent Pain or Swelling

Ongoing pain, swelling, or pressure may indicate deep infection or nerve damage—prompting a tooth extraction to relieve symptoms and protect your oral health.

Severe Tooth Decay or Infection

When a cavity or infection reaches the tooth’s pulp and cannot be treated with a filling or root canal, extraction may be the only solution.

Impacted or Crowded Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth that grow sideways, stay trapped, or crowd other teeth often require removal to prevent shifting, discomfort, or gum complications.

Preparation for Orthodontic Work

To create space for braces or correct bite alignment, extractions may be recommended—especially when overcrowding or impacted teeth limit orthodontic movement.

Severe tooth pain or swelling? Our Vancouver dental clinic offers emergency tooth extractions with same-day care and sedation options to relieve pain and restore comfort fast.

Types of Tooth Extractions We Perform

Simple Extractions

Used for visible teeth with fully erupted crowns. We gently loosen and remove the tooth using dental forceps under local anesthesia—quick and minimally invasive.

Surgical Extractions

Needed for broken, unerupted, or impacted teeth. This procedure involves a small incision, possible bone removal, and stitches—typically performed under sedation or local anesthesia.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

We extract problematic third molars to relieve pain, overcrowding, or infection. Our Vancouver dentists perform both erupted and impacted wisdom teeth extractions, with a focus on comfort and healing.

What Can Happen If You Delay Tooth Extraction?

Delaying necessary dental care can lead to more serious problems. Here’s what might happen if you put off a needed tooth extraction:

Infection Can Spread

Untreated tooth infections may reach the jawbone or bloodstream. Early extraction helps prevent serious oral and systemic health risks.

Damage to Nearby Teeth

Impacted or broken teeth can shift, loosen, or harm surrounding teeth—leading to more complex procedures and greater long-term damage.

Increased Pain and Healing Risks

Ongoing pain, swelling, and dry socket are common when treatment is delayed. Early care means faster healing and fewer post-op complications.

Higher Long-Term Costs

Ignoring a problematic tooth can turn into costly surgery or restorations. Prompt extractions minimize risk and keep dental care affordable.

I can't say enough great things about Enhance Dental, Dr. Pazhoh, and his team! From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The office is warm and welcoming, always spotless, and even smells amazing; it’s the little details that make such a difference.

Dr. Pazhoh is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever had. It’s truly obvious that he cares about his patients, not just their teeth but their overall well-being. He always takes extra time to explain every step of my procedures, making sure I feel comfortable and informed, something I’ve never experienced at any other dental office. That level of care is rare and I appreciate it a lot!

The staff is equally incredible; they’re all very skilled, professional, and always friendly. It also feels like walking into a family business, the staff looks like they really like each other, and work very well together. I never feel rushed, and every visit is smooth and enjoyable. The team is always on time, clear and upfront about costs, with no hidden fees, and they encourage me to ask questions so I fully understand my insurance and how to maximize my hard-earned benefits.

The combination of Dr. Pazhoh’s expertise and the latest high-tech procedures and equipment means I didn’t have to be referred out for treatments that other dentists usually send you elsewhere for, which saved me so much time, money and hassle.

If you’re looking for a dental office where you’ll feel genuinely cared for, this is the place. I’m not trusting my care to anyone else!

I’ve been coming to this dentist for four years now and every time, I feel at ease and confident in my dental goals. This is coming from someone who hates the dentist. I won’t trust any other dentistry around.

Had a great experience here as a new patient. I went in for a routine checkup and cleaning and was treated like I’ve been a patient for years. My examination was done by Dr. Pazhoh, he took his time and completed the exam with great care. I didn’t have any major issues which was a relief 😅 they took a 3d scan of my teeth which showed that I primarily chew with one side of my mouth, I had somewhat felt this before but previously I was told that it’s not a big deal. Dr. Pazhoh offered some potential treatments for it which could also straighten one of my front teeth which has bothered me since I was a teenager (again I was previously told it’s not really worth fixing since it’s barely noticeable) The rest of the staff were very friendly as well. So glad to have found such an amazing clinic so close to my home 😁 thank you all

I came in to get bonding done on my two front teeth and it was a super great experience. I had another dentist I was going to for years and had a really bad experience so I decided to try Enhance and they went above and beyond my expectations! They were super professional and my bonding looks 100% natural. I’ll be coming here again for my cleanings! Lovely staff as well 🙂

FAQs

Is tooth extraction painful?

No. We use local anesthesia or sedation to keep you comfortable. You may feel pressure but should not feel pain during the procedure.

What’s the difference between a simple and surgical tooth extraction?

Simple extractions remove visible teeth. Surgical extractions are used for broken, unerupted, or impacted teeth and may involve incisions or stitches.

When is tooth extraction necessary?

Tooth extraction is often required due to decay, infection, gum disease, overcrowding, or impacted wisdom teeth that cannot erupt properly.

How long does it take to recover from a tooth extraction?

Most patients recover in 3–5 days. Surgical cases or wisdom teeth may take 1–2 weeks, depending on complexity and aftercare.

How do I prevent infection after a tooth extraction?

Avoid smoking, follow your dentist’s aftercare instructions, take antibiotics if prescribed, and keep the area clean without disturbing the healing site.
